About Hotel Portavescovo

The quaint and picturesque village of Arabba is just 25 miles from the Austrian border and lies between Corvara and Canazei, two better known resorts in the heart of the famous Dolomites. Nestled in between the Sella Massif and the Portavescovo Mountains, scenery here is breathtaking.

Marmolada glacier is renowned for its skiing, and is a good starting point of the Dolomiti Superski and the Sella Ronda ski area. With more than 25 ski lift systems, it is a great link with the other areas. The Dolomiti Superski area has over 1220 kms of pisted skiing and links 4 valleys.

Après-ski in the village is low key, but there are bars, shops and restaurants in the resort centre and holidaymakers can also indulge in outdoor ice skating, helicopter rides, snowmobiling and ski tours.

About Arabba, Italy More information

We like Arabba! It's a small traditional village, set high in the Dolomites, close to the Marmolada Glacier and with access to the much-fêted Sella Ronda and Alta Badia area - so Arabba punches above its weight with the range of its skiing. It's invested heavily in snowmaking equipment so there's no worry about lack of coverage in milder seasons. F...
