About Hotel Alpenruh
Hotel Alpenruh is set in a picturesque spot in the delightful resort of Murren, in Switzerland.
This chalet-style hotel has beautiful traditional features, including oak beams on the ceilings, wood panelling on the walls and a glorious open fire with beautifully carved pine furniture for relaxing after a day on the slopes.
There is a lovely terrace with table and chairs for guests to enjoy a glass of wine, whilst admiring the Lauterbrunnen valley and surrounding landscape, including the main ski area, which is just 200 metres away from the hotel.
There is a ski school and nursery slopes for the children and guests that are trying skiing for the first time and also closeby is the ski lifts to take skiers and snowboarders up into the mountains, for a thrilling day on the slopes.
The pretty town centre is a little further, just 300 metres away, and the many traditional chalet style buildings line the streets towards the many bars, restaurants and lovely shops selling everything from ski wear and equipment to locally made gifts to buy friends and family back home.
You can also keep in touch with everyone back home with the free Wi-Fi that is available to guests in the reception lobby and there is also an internet corner, and telephones in all of the guest rooms.
The hotel has a comfortable lounge area, where guests can enjoy chilling out with other guests and trying some of the locally produced alcoholic drinks from the bar and there is a glorious restaurant serving delicious dishes, that would also appeal to the children.
The hotel has many traditional features that are pleasing to the eye, which continue through to the guest rooms and the outdoor space.
