About Chalet Castor

The Chalet Castor is a charming and traditional chalet that sits just 1 km from the resort centre of Meribel. It is situated amongst many other chalets down the streets and looks like it could be part of a famous film set.

The main ski area is 1.2 km away, where you will find the ski lifts and slopes and there is also a ski school for families with children or guests that are skiing for the first time.

Guests can walk if they wish, or they can hop on the ski bus that stops just a couple of minutes away from the chalet and runs a regular service to the resort and ski area.

The resort centre has an abundance of bars and restaurants to cater for all age groups when you are looking for a quiet evening or the lively apres ski nights that the resort of Meribel in known for.

The chalet has a traditional cosy cabin feel, with the wood panelling on the walls and the open fire roaring with heat and guests can enjoy the spacious open-plan lounge and dining area after they have tried some of the delicious dishes that their chalet host has carefully prepared for them.

There are doors that open out to a balcony, which offers stunning views of the resort, which lights up of an evening and the breathtaking snow filled mountains.

Ski Accommodation

The chalet sleeps up to 9 guests and has three floors.

Ground Floor:

Room 1 Twin with a single bunk (for a child only), private shower room and WC.

First Floor:

Entrance hall, kitchen lounge, dining area, fireplace and balcony.

Second Floor:

Room 3 & 4 Double with private shower room and WC.

Room 5 Twin with private shower room and WC.

Meals

Meal standards at the Chalet Castor are set very high, and staff are all extensively trained pre-season.

Breakfast is provided with the option of a cooked breakfast or a continental choice. Afternoon tea is also provided with unlimited tea or coffee accompanied with a slice of homemade cake. Dinner is a 4-course meal with canapes and an aperitif followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert, completed with coffee and chocolates. During mealtimes, unlimited complimentary wine is served. A cooked breakfast is not available for one day a week as this will be the chalet hosts day off.

Children’s meals are served separately and a healthy menu tailored towards children's tastes is offered.
