About Chalet Caribou
Chalet Caribou shares a building with Chalet Canvolan. The chalet is only 200 metres from the slopes, 230 metres from the lifts and 500 metres from the ski school. Near the village are many nursery slopes for beginners to learn their skills and advance to intermediate level. Once skill levels are attained, skiers can look forward to the Grande Motte where there are some fast runs. Transport is available from Tignes to Val D’lsere where the pistes on the other side of the valley are ideal for intermediates.
Chalet Caribou occupies the lower level of the building, while Chalet Canvolan is above. Both chalets share a sauna and a home cinema room, which is on the same level as the Caribou. Chalet Caribou sleeps up to 13 guests in well- equipped rooms with en-suite facilities.
Ski Accommodation
Chalet Caribou has a shared sauna, shared cinema room and a shared ski & boot room with heated boot racks. The chalet also has double, twin and bunk beds, living area, dining area, kitchen, fireplace, bath, shower and a terrace area.
Meals
A good breakfast always starts a skier’s day. A choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, tea, coffee and local bread, croissants, cold meats, cheeses and preserves are laid out buffet style for you to help yourself. A daily hot option is always available including scrambled eggs with mushrooms or homemade pancakes. A traditional afternoon snack awaits your return from a day on the slopes. A nice cup of tea, coffee, complimented with a slice of freshly baked homemade cake. The adults only dinner starts with canapes, aperitifs and a starter, followed by a main course and dessert.
