Tignes
Apres-Ski in Tignes
Tignes offers purpose-built accommodation which is generally on offer at more modest prices than next door Val d'Isère, so if you're looking for great value it's definitely worth checking out. You could stay in a convenient apartment block or one of the pretty Alpine buildings which pepper the resort.
Spectacular Val Claret, the highest village, is right at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular, while Le Lac and Le Lavachet have a more cosy Alpine village feel. There's no shortage of bars, restaurants and shops, wherever you stay.
Non-ski activities are worth noting too. There's the Lagon sports centre, you could go parapenting, or indulge in a spot of ten pin bowling …and there's loads more too.
The best way to find out is to go there! We'll be pleased to book your happy holiday at GetSkiing.
Go for it!
Gary's Little Gems in Tignes
La Grand Motte glacier guarantees skiing even in summer - in 1984 I taught skiing there in August! There are enough runs to keep the most ardent expert entertained and challenged. Skiing off the back of L'Aiguille Percee has some great off-piste runs down to Les Brevieres.
