Kronplatz

When it comes to Italian ski resorts, the area of Kronplatz is something of a hidden gem when it comes to British visitors.

Although popular with other nationalities, the large dome-shaped mountain known as Plan de Corones isn’t somewhere that is well known to ski enthusiasts – but that could all change if you decide to pay a visit.

Quite simply, when you’ve been once, you’ll want to go again…

Skiing at the resort is based around the single mountain, which acts as the gateway to a range of quiet slopes that are suitable for all levels.

Each of those slopes can be accessed through a network of gondolas that ensure that queuing is kept to a minimum.

From beginner areas towards the bottom of the mountain to the most advanced sections where World Cup teams train, Kronplatz really does cater for all tastes – whilst there is also the prospect of being able to head out to explore the wider Dolomiti Superski area.

When you add in the dining options and alternative activities that are available, you’ll be left wondering why you didn’t head for Kronplatz earlier.
