Drei Zinnen

Drei Zinnen - also known as the Three Peaks Dolomites - is a popular ski area close to the border between Italy and Austria, and which is a hugely popular with people looking for an overseas ski trip.

The area is made up of a number of towns and villages that are all interlinked by a network of ski buses, which means you can have direct access to more than 100km of slopes regardless of where you find yourself staying. Of particular interest to families (or those who are skiing for the first time) are the large number of nurser slopes where you can learn the ropes before moving onto the intermediate level runs - of which there are many.

Should you be more of an expert, the Drei Zinnen area is home to one of the steepest pistes in Italy - the challenging Holzriese.

Given how close you are to the Austrian border, you’ll find a real mix of cultures in the area whilst the accommodation options are plentiful - from quiet villages where you can relax on an evening to more bustling resorts with a plentiful supply of bars and restaurants.

As well as top class skiing, Drei Zinnen also has plenty of alternative activities that guests can make use of to really enhance a winter adventure.

Of particular interest will be more than 200km of trails where you can enjoy the countryside, with cross country skiing available for both beginners and experts alike.

Each town and village within the Drei Zinnen area has its own nursery area, so you won’t have to go far for a ski school no matter where you’re staying. The nursery slopes around Sesto are particularly popular.
