Westendorf

A skiing holidays in Westendorf is a great choice. It's located on a sunny plateau in the Brixen valley, with slopes running right down into the village, ideal for confident intermediates, and with nursery slopes close to the centre for fledging skiers.

Westendorf is slightly off the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental circuit, but with easy access by means of a smart new gondola. This gives you access to a tremendous 250 kms + of pistes, great for everyone but particularly suitable for intermediates who will simply adore the wide slopes and carving runs, with 70 mountains huts en route if refreshment is needed. (Of course it will be!)

Not only the Ski Welt circuit, but also easy access to the Kitzbühel/Kirchberg area. Gosh, you'll be spoilt for choice.

So - choose Westendorf as a prime base for a whole range of skiing opportunities.

Apres-Ski in Westendorf

Westendorf is a compact, quiet and attractive village, making it a firm family favourite. It has a charming onion-domed church.

There's fun to be had too, après-ski, including Gerry's Inn, just by the nursery slopes, where you can ski to the door, and possibly ski away again if your legs allow. The Moskito Bar stays open until the wee small hours if you really want to challenge your commitment to early rising for a long day on the slopes. Kegelbahn Theresianna is a bowling alley as well as a bar if the weather gods aren't being kind.

Most of the hotels and a handful of restaurants and cafés serve traditional Tyrolean cuisine and, if you like cake, you mustn’t miss Café Konditorei Elisabeth. Other activities include cross-country skiing, winter hiking, horse-drawn sleigh rides and an absolute must for a visit - the Alpeniglu igloo village, where you can have dinner, and drinks in the ice bar.

A great base for varied skiing opportunities. Let GetSkiing whizz you off to Westendorf for a memorable winter holiday.
