St. Anton

St. Anton is renowned for being one of the very best ski resorts in the world - yes, The World! But then, it would be, being the home of the so-called father of downhill skiing Hannes Schneider, who developed the Arlberg technique which informs our skiing today. St. Anton is easy to get to as well, about two hours' transfer time from no fewer than three international airports.

Here you can find - at time of writing - 340km of well-groomed pistes served by 97 lifts and 200km of off-piste routes set in over 55km² of spectacular off-piste terrain. Be exhilarated on a descent from Vallugarat, have your breath taken away on a valley run down to Galzig, or wend your way down the wide open pistes of Rendl.

An Arlberg ski pass also includes the exclusive resorts of Lech, Zürs, Stüben and St Christoph - so you won't be short of things to do - in fact you'll have to return year after year in order to do everything.

Apres-Ski in St. Anton

Sophisticated St. Anton has the most highly-rated accommodation in any ski resort anywhere but it's still possible to land up in a very affordable B&B if you choose carefully, and at GetSkiing we can provide great value chalets which will add the finishing touches to an already brilliant holiday.

The village is super-attractive authentic Tyrolean and largely pedestrianised so you won't get mown down after one too many mugs of Glühwein! It's chockablock with stylish hotels, chalets, bars and restaurants. Nobody must miss an evening in the popular Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaruh. It's party town!

Off the slopes there are plenty of spa facilities and also arl.rock, a multifunctional sport and climbing centre.

St. Anton is one of those places that should be on every ski and snowboard aficionado's bucket list. Go St. Anton with GetSkiing!

Gary's Little Gems in St. Anton

If I had to pick my one favourite resort of all time, this is it. Unparalled ski runs in the Arlberg ski circus link the resort with Lech, Zurs, St Christoph. There is great off-piste skiing in Stuben and off the back of the Valluga and Rendle with a guide recommended. Night life has to be amongst the very best with the Mooserwirt, Krazy Kangaruh and the Underground all rocking around the clock.
