About Hotel Chalet Mounier
This family run hotel has been renovated and is run by the Mounier family who have made sure it still retains its own character. Hotel Chalet Mounier was one of the first to be built in the resort and has lots of charm with its cosy lounge and open fireplace. The 43 bedrooms are delightfully decorated with wood panelled walls and beamed ceilings, some with balconies and views of the mountain.
Hotel Chalet Mounier is only 100 metres from the resort centre and chairlift. The ski school meeting place is a 5-minute walk or take the free minibus shuttle service.
Skiing in Les Deux Alpes is great for families, with an excellent lift system and sunny south facing slopes. There are nursery slopes near the resort, but the best place to learn and hone your skills is on the glacier where there are wide open pistes. The Mont-de-Lans glacier is claimed to be the largest skiable glacier in Europe.
Les Deux Alpes is well known for its apres-ski and party atmosphere. For a quiet evening, tourists can head for one of the many restaurants offering mountain cuisine. For those wanting a livelier end to the day, there are nightclubs that party late into the night.
Ski Accommodation
Hotel Chalet Mounier has 43 bedrooms.
All the bedrooms are delightfully decorated and some rooms have sofa beds suitable for one adult or two children.
South facing rooms with a balcony with mountain views are available with a supplement as are the larger superior rooms.
All rooms have a bath, hairdryer, bathrobe, slippers, satellite TV and a safe.
Meals
A buffet breakfast is offered to guests each morning with a choice of hot and cold dishes.
Dinner is a 4-course evening meal with a choice of dishes. It also includes 1 musical (jazz) evening a week.
It is possible to take meals in the hotel’s gastronomic restaurant Le Petit Polyte (payable locally).
